James Clark is a video director and cinematographer located in Vancouver BC. James graduated BCIT New Media Design and Web development program with distinction, where he is focused on cinematic storytelling, motion graphics and editing.
Along with his studies, James has been worked on short films such as Batgirl: Destiny Calls, Sue and Subject 17.
James has excellent skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom and Illustrator. He has a strong technical understanding of computers and technology and is able to communicate effectively with team members and department heads. James is always looking for opportunities to learn and grow.
James moved from Melbourne to Vancouver in 2015 to work in Film and Television. Starting out as a Production Assistant on shows like Arrow, Star Trek: Beyond, and Deadpool 2, James’s hard work and leadership skills were quickly noticed and was promoted to an Assistant Location Manager on season 2 of Supergirl.
James is an experienced photographer and videographer, which is made evident by his 3 years working at Infocus Photography back in Australia. James developed his photography, lighting and editing skills and took the business to new heights in photography, while creating dynamic videos for local and regional businesses in Victoria, Australia.
Outside of creating films, James enjoys video gaming, going to the cinema, and dancing Zouk, Bachata and Salsa in his spare time. James even used to teach Salsa for several years back in Australia.
